Since ancient times, Ayurveda has championed the benefits of drinking copper water. According to Ayurveda, if you store water in a copper vessel for 4–12 hours (preferably overnight), the water becomes naturally alkaline. This happens because the copper vessel positively charges and energises the water, thereby ‘revitalising’ it. It also gives the water a silky-smooth taste. The charged copper water helps to balance the body’s three doshas (Vata, Kapha and Pitta). In Ayurveda, this transformed, therapeutic water, drawn from a copper vessel, is called ‘Tamra Jal’.

Use only with still water!

Rinse thoroughly before first use. Each product is handmade. Copper is a soft metal and may warp over time. Please handle with care. The optimal storage time is 4–12 hours maximum. The inside will naturally oxidise and dark patches may appear. This has no negative effect on the taste of the water. If green or coloured discolouration occurs, clean the affected areas and only then use the vessel again. Dry thoroughly when not in use. The outside is coated with a food-safe varnish, so do not clean or scrub it.
